I took these photos while stationed on Tinian between May 29 and October 18, 1945. I didn't take the time to clearly identify some subjects, and don't remember them today. This was a relatively short time to do the job and familiarize one's self with the island; even though it was small.

I was in the Radar Section of the 393rd Bomb Squadron ,509th Composite Group. We were able to obtain a vehicle, or hitch a ride, to explore the island and photograph what we thought were interesting subjects. These are mine. Most of those associated with our outfit were seen in books and other media. I hope you enjoy these.
